I hate that this is the case, but I use my Tazer like once a week to reboot the friggin head unit. Loss of reverse camera guidelines, loss of volume, frozen home row buttons, etc. If I didn’t have a Tazer and, instead, had to pull the fuse every time I’d be irate rather than annoyed.

Just found this thread 3 weeks late. I bought the Tazer JL. Why even offer the JL version? I feel like my leg is going to hit it when left in for the live features. I was going to try to exchange it at Northridge 4x4 but they have a no return policy on these. Anyone know of an upgrade? I emailed Tazer direct with the hope maybe he can help me out.

Tazer JL version needs to be plugged into the port in order to use Live Functions (Off-road stuff for Rubicons basically and a few junk options like dark mode and light show). Two piece Tazer JL can be useful if you're lending your Rubicon to someone and don't want them messing with potentially dangerous options or getting into legal trouble with a stupid light show.

Tazer JL Mimi is for those who don't need that Live Function access control and like a clean appearance and don't want someone walking away with the Live unit (whatever the potential situation may be).
