Tazer help

There’s got to be people out there who will charge $25-$50 to recalibrate the speedometer for people who changed tire size. So cheapskates like me don’t have to buy a tazer….. right?

Wrong. The Tazer gets married to one Jeep at the time. If it gets un-married, all changes go back to original.

There are some other devices that connect to your OBD port to set your tires, cheaper, but much less useful than a Tazer.

Im not bauking. I’m looking to save some money if I can. I just spent thousands of dollars on tires and a lift and all kinds of other stuff. So because I want to save some money where I can I’m cheap and don’t deserve to drive a jeep? Nice.

Appreciate this info. I know all the features the taser has but all I’d really use it for is just adjusting the speedometer to the new tire size. Didn’t know the tasers were locked to each individual jeep

I have one, I wound up using it for just tire size. Probably won't use it for anything else. Honestly can't stand it. Every time you take to the dealership for service you need to unmarry and remove it. Hate dealing with the interface of the thing, but already paid for the thing so I will use it.

Sure, if you check / ask around your town, you will undoubtedly find a fellow JL/JT owner with JSCAN and the necessary hardware and the know how that will gladly do the deed for you.

You pay the $ for registering your vehicle with JSCAN and then pay them personally for their time for them to use JSCAN ..... their scan tool and their security gateway bypass and on your vehicle to do your calibration.

The other option is you pay the $ for registering your vehicle with JSCAN and you then pay them $ to borrow / use their scan tool and security gateway bypass to do the calibration yourself.

While you are at it, there are other JSCAN deeds you might want to have done. For example high beams with fogs..

Anyway, for a guy or gal that just wants speedo calibration paying someone $30 cash and then $25 to JSCAN is a very $ smart way to go.. You might even get lucky and find someone willing to do the deed as a favor and then all you need to do is pay JSCAN the reg. fee.

Important: Do remember to write down or take a screen shot with your smartphone, of the JSCAN "Token" number so if you have it for future JSCAN use you might do.

By the way.... You can register with JSCAN and buy the needed hardware and do the JSCAN deed yourself for as little as say $65 total..

Yes, I have done JSCAN speedo calibration with my hardware for guys /gals / locales a bunch of times. I also, have set-up JSCAN or a Tazer JL for others and was paid a few $ to do so..

It's OK. They can be money pits. You would do well to consider re-gearing if you got some big tires. The Tazer would help with that too. It has a lot of features that allow you to customize your interaction with the Jeep. There is a Lite version that's cheaper with less features.

Hey on a jlu Rubicon with 3.6 what was the t case supposed to be set to 4.0 or 4.1? I was changing my gear settings and I may have hit the button while doing that. I know the t case in 4 low is 4:1 ratio but the setting displays 4.0 is that correct?
