Was going to add the note regarding the 1/2" drill bit but figured I would get flack from some Anal machinist nut guy...It does work and made the install easy and free since I did not have to spend money on 1 drill bit. Thanks to Springtail for mentioning it and saving everyone some cash....I do not have any rattle with mine and I have two Molle bags attached with no issues. Really like the additional storage for a First aid kit and some extra equipment on that door panel....
How tight did you bolt down the torque nuts on the bottom sides? Im assuming if I torque those down really tight it wouldn't rattle but then I didn't know how hard it would be for the table to be unfolded/folded. They listed some torque specs in the directions but I didn't use a torque wrench for it

Unless you are super-OCD....hand tightening the bolts is just fine. There is a ny-lock nut there so you don't need to worry about it backing out and there is a nylon washer between the frame and the table to assure there is no metal to metal contact.

There are a few reasons that cause rattles/squeaks....

1) Metal to metal contact
2) Loose or poorly tightened hardware
3) Poor tolerances/Bad design for the application
4) Poor lubrication
5) To some degree....atmospheric changes, temperature and paint

As a consumer, if you have an issue with noises....addressing these areas will 99% fix your problem. I have been working with a JLU with the mopar table and so far....have not seen any issues with rattling (Which is why I was curious when it was mentioned previously).

Totally get that and the only things in this case that really apply are #1, 2, and 3 and the only ones I have control of would be #1. I took a look at the tailgate table today and it seems that the culprit is the latches that they have along the top. They are loose even when closed since there is no rubber around the loop used to close the latch. I looked online at the Mopar picture again and noticed that they seem to have some set screw at the top that would help with keeping the table from rattling as well. Not sure if your version came with this since mine didn't and has no holes drilled for that feature. I am going to try and wrap some electrical tape around the latch loops so that when they are closed it holds the table with a greater force.

My right latch loosened up day 2 on the road. Rattled like crazy, drove me nuts. I wacked the latch with plastic mallet to tighten it up.

Yea that seems to be a poor design choice. They should have some sort of rubber seat there so that when the latch is closed it will not be metal on metal contact and it can withstand lots of use

I think the table does get pushed into rubber. The latch just wasn’t holding the table tight enough.

Have you not gotten it yet? I think just adding some black electrical tape around the latch loop will ensure that when its closed it has a good hold and also prevents metal to metal contact. As @Martindfletcher points out there are rubber stops but those are at the back of the table so they wouldn't affect the latch mechanism itself.

Overall, I really like the table and it has a clean look when installed. Perfect for camping or holding tools while your working on the Jeep

I haven't received yet... ordered mid-last week. I'll keep this post handy. I like the look and purpose of it (some have stated it's useless, but to each, his own)... I'm a camper and, lately, I've found myself adding things here & there. Thank you for the tips and suggestions!

Got one and like it a lot. Could have done without the cup holders and more molle slots, but installation was a snap and no rattles at all....
