Tailgate Table

I’ve searched for a tailgate table thread and haven’t found one so I wanted to see what yall are using for your tailgate table and what you like or don’t like about them.
After a few trips out and using the top of the cooler on the back of the jeep as my sandwich table I’m over it and now I’m in the market for one. I’d like it to have the pull out cutting board for more table space. It I’m open.

This is a good place to start... my post is in there too! Use mine all the time. The wife loves setting up a coffee/oatmeal bar on it when camping. Getting a little expensive, but what isn't?

I went with this table. I figured I wasn't going to like the wood cutting board and had planned of changing it out. Ordered the cutting board larger and cut it down, added the handles, redistilled for the slider pins. Cutting board will slide either way, out away from the Jeep, or into create an 'L' shaped area with the back of the Jeep.

Back in ‘21 my wife got me the Outback Trailgater table for my birthday. Nicely made, no rattles and they’ve sent me 2 packs of the inserts so I could reinstall into another Jeep for free since I initially installed it. Very responsive customer service in my experience.

I decided to go a different route as the back gate tables are so darned expensive.
I picked this up from Sportsmans Warehouse, when it was on sale for 50% off. It works great for camping or just picnicking. It's very portable and easy to set up or break down.

I originally ordered the Mopar but wasn't happy with the flimsy quality. I returned it and ordered the Rough Country instead and have been quite happy with it; perfect fitment and strong design. We've had it for over 2 years and used it during multiple off-roading trips.

I went with the Rock Slide a few years back...when it was cheaper. I like that it gives you an upper shelf.

I started out with this one because I liked being able to store stuff inside of it like extra motor oil bottles or cooking stuff originally. I am now switching to one from American Adventure Labs because I need just a little flatter surface to put my camp stove on.

And now as soon as the cutting board @Operative73 linked to above comes back in stock, I'll be replacing the plywood board with that one.

Another vote for the Rough Country for occasional use

. Simple, well made, and less than $100. No rattle either.

I also have a Rockslide and love it. Rattled a little when closed up but solved that by laying a black terry cloth towel inside while closing it up. Now I have a rag back there when needed.

Agreed, not a single rattle here either! The latches remain strong & tight.

I went with the Quadratec Tailgate Table for Jeep Wrangler JK & JL ( Quadratec Part #: 12226-3010 ) and am very happy with it. I wanted a table that was solid on the top without a lot of cutouts since I use this mainly when setting up my fly-fishing gear and didn't want stuff falling to the ground. Super easy install, very sturdy and doesn't rattle. I highly recommend this table.
