Many tail light swap threads I can find, are about changing non-LED for LED lights, but I'm wondering about changing out my EU tail lights for US spec lights.

Changing the US halogen lights to LED is a no brainer, and do not need to fiddle with additional resistors, as I have LED lights already.

The one thing from which I thought would be pretty easy, might be way more complex than I initially assumed, and that is how to make the single brake/blinker bulb work, in mind we have separate bulbs/wires for each... :(

Oh yeah, if you wonder why, I prefer the "retro" look of the halogens more than the white EU style ones.

The wiring might be more tricky than I thought... The US spec lights do run 4 wires, whereas the EU ones run 5, the big difference of course the combined brake/blinker bulb in the US lights.

Which means I'll have to figure out a way to temporarily interrupt the signal send by the brake wire to that one bulb, whenever I turn on a blinker, and send the turn signal to the same bulb instead...

The one million dollar Q, how to do so?

Hi, did you figure out how to do the wiring?

Meanwhile, I'd kill for some EU LEDs. The fact the US hasn't made it mandatory rear turn signals be separate from the brakes, and amber, is just stupid...

Hi folks.

im owning a Jeep Wrangle 4xe, Sahara, 2021. It was produced in US and brought to EU.
The issue is that some regulations here are differ, and for instance i need to change my tail light to europe standart.
So at the end of the day it should be amber.
As i understood i need to add additional wire from front turn signals to rear (new one) and also make some programming in control unit.
So here is a problem - no one in my city can do it :(
will be very glad to know if someone had such experince and which soft did he use.
