You probably gain an inch since it’s a canvas top. I have plenty of head room and I’m 6’.

Just ordered a new sunrider for hardtop from the bestop website. They are currently back ordered. Will post when it arrives. I have a 2024 and curious how it will work after reading all of these messages.

Ok the new bestop sunrider is installed on my 2024 with the help of a friend. It’s not that heavy but big and awkward. I see what people are talking about the extra rubber piece sticking out. Definitely tuck! Otherwise the rubber will be doubled over each time you close the door. Seems to fit nicely otherwise. I’m really looking forward to using this.

@UTME

You are really going to enjoy that Sunrider.. Not sure if you are aware, but the Bestop Logo can easily be pried pealed right off when the SR is new.. Once it is off, you will see no sign it was ever there. IMO, looks far better without the fugly logo.

Get one of these or similar, to hang inside the JL in clear site when you close the SR while parked and unlatched.... Hanging such will prevent you from driving away the the SR unlatched and....

Does tucking that flap hider drainage in anyway? I know there has been a lot of chatter about “flapgate” lol. I would love to see the placement of the flap on a 2024 with a SR from the factory.

For anyone that parks their Jeep outside, does the heat destroy the twill or make too loose over time? I live in St George and the sun is intense.

So has the flap issue been “fixed”? My freedom panels seem to be leaking whenever I do a hard stop and there’s heavy rain, water pours into from the side. Not a lot but annoying. I will use that as an excuse to upgrade to the sunrider.

I think the flap issue is with how Jeep installs the seals, not with the Sunrider. My factory soft top folds the flap on the passenger side but not the driver's side. Go figure. 2024.

Unfortunately with the flap tucked in, when it rains and the door is opened, all the water comes inside.
