And another one bites the dust...zip ties to the rescue until parts arrive.

I agree. Many on these forums will say the visor is a minor thing, but there are a lot of issues with these, frame welds, steering wander, steering lock up, death wobble, bad clutches, bad valve bodies, ESS, rear defrost wire, bubbling paint, limited slip differential problems, u-connect issues, etc. Jeep needs to step up... it’s embarrassing.
I sometimes get the impression the 2nd gen JK was built a lot better. The only problem I remember people having with them was the pentastar tick. And sometimes leaky roofs.

That said, they used amusingly cheap plastic parts in those too. They were durable though. They just looked like crap. XD And then there's the funny looking seats they stole out of the Chrysler 200/Sebring.

I think I read somewhere that the JK had a visor breaking issue too.

lol it wouldn't surprise me a ton. The JK's sunvisors felt like they were thin plastic surrounding a honeycomb or something.

If anyone else hasn't noticed this yet, and I doubt it's the cause, but the sunvisors don't push back that far. Like if you push them further back than 90 degrees, they bump against the top of the A pillar and you start applying torque to the hinge. I could see someone doing that too much breaking them.

Okay, so now that it seems we are mostly in a "Stay at Home" order, but service depts are open ... how hard is it to get parts? I need to go for my 10k service soon and my visor fell out like a month ago. I also need a new windshield - damn rocks. I know the windshield is NOT covered - except via my insurance. But the visor .. is that covered via the warranty? I purchased my 2019 in July of last year. So I haven't had her a year yet!

My dealer ordered a warranty replacement drivers side visor (w/ the garage door remote buttons) in mid January and there’s still no ETA.

I had mine in for the 10k maintenance Wednesday and they fixed mine. The service writer said they had the parts in stock. Which meant there were enough folks around here that had the same problem. I had it done in Harford County Maryland.

The visor without the vanity light and mirror is pretty inexpensive. But the one with the vanity light and the Homelink is about $500. Not likely they stock a bunch of the latter.

For those that have some DIY initiative, I came up with a fix and another member added his fix.

This is happening to my Jeep too! I bought my Jeep at the end of 2018. My driver visor was falling apart and I replace it in 2019. Now in 2020, the driver visor is falling again! Now I need to look for the replacement AGAIN!

I have the passenger visor if anyone needs it. I bought the visor as a pair but only needed the driver side
