Strangly missing features

I'm thinking you prefer the "utilitarian" aspect of the Sport. Everything manual. Not sure how you’d add a tailgate “pop”. Most cars have either an electronic switch or mechanical cable. The kiddo’s will have to rough it ;)
Sounds like he'd also prefer a wood-burning stove to steam power the thing if he could

  1. Front Passenger adjustable seat, similar to the driver's seat
  2. Allways-On rear camera. Then I could remove the rear mirror which totally obstructs my 6'7" view.

Actually PRICE was a huge factor for me and being a woman I am a bit concerned about the time it takes getting in the car with a mechanical key but I can add power locks later. ..or maybe upgrade to an S. ..and yeah, my teenage daughters think cranking up the windows is HARD!

I completely agree on the camera, however for a different reason. I'm a shorty and when I have my roof pulled back it obscures my vision of the back and part of the rear window. Being able to have a corner image of the rear camera on the uconnect would be so much better for me.

Does anyone else wonder why some obvious features were not included in the JL? Especially things that are really only software settings.
....
I always thought Jeep software was a rag top and seat covers.

Reminded me of a car of my brother's that I drove for a while. You had to push start it. It was a 67 bug. If you parked with the front up on a parking stop, you could sometimes just let it roll off and dump the clutch and get it to start. Otherwise, pushing. So hard cranking came to mind. LOL.

Like would it have really cost too much to allow the fuel door to hold the gas cap?
I couldn't agree more on this. Every gas/diesel vehicle should have it. I know it seems trivial, until you don't have it. It annoys me every time I fill up, which is at least once a week. Not sure why Jeep would want omit a five cent feature that annoys owners once a week. I know I may be able to go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a hook with sticker adhesive, but come on...

For as nice as a loaded rubi i think it should had included and for the most park most models.

Auto up and down window switches.
Auto dimming headlights.
Rain sensing wipers.
And with the acc i have no idea why the stop and go has not been done by fca yet.

My wifes 14 durango has had the acc works the same, yet almost 5 years later no improvements to the system.

I have a feeling auto dimming headlights will be on the 2020s. Since I would love to have them (I do on my RAM) and I just took delivery of a 2019 JL. I would also like rain sensing wipers, one of my favorite features on the RAM. I also had both of these features on my 2006 (2006!) Grand Cherokee. Missed them so much it had a lot to do with trading my 09 RAM for a '17.

I find a lot of these issues are truly software/ firmware updates. Jeep is in the “New car” business. That said, I think a lot of the features are planned updates. Body style change only occurs once every 10 years or so..........My point is these things will be added as the “New models” come out. FCA needs us to keep buying cars, so they can remain in the “New car” business. This is just my $0.02.
