Ok, need some help here. I was about to place an order for the SG when the dealer called me back and said that now their rep is saying it's a June/July build, and therefore won't be delivered till August/September.Keep in mind that most information that has been shared about colors from Jeep Reps has been inconsistent or just plain wrong.
I am assuming 3 months. That would mean first week of June. Later than that would suck. But I have waited this long I can wait a couple more months if necessary.
No telling. We won't know for sure until they start building it probably.Ok, need some help here. I was about to place an order for the SG when the dealer called me back and said that now their rep is saying it's a June/July build, and therefore won't be delivered till August/September.
As a result, they are not keen on holding the offer for my trade in that long. I feel like they are just saying that because they want my trade sooner rather than later because it's better for them, and they don't really give a damn what color I order.
Any insights??
Have they not started building SG JLs yet?No telling. We won't know for sure until they start building it probably.
As far as I know they are not. The one being sent to California is a test vehicle kind of like the Nacho vehicles that have made it to dealers.Have they not started building SG JLs yet?
I really hope this info is incorrect, I will lose my mind if I have to wait that long. Has anyone received a vin # for their ordered Sting Gray??Ok, need some help here. Yup I already have my VON & VIN in D Status last I checked last Friday. I don’t see how they would delay Production into Late April or later because the Code “D” literally means “firm schedule: serial number assigned, approx time in station – 5 days”. Now of course a lot of people have been stuck in D for 27+ days as well, so who knowsI really hope this info is incorrect, I will lose my mind if I have to wait that long. Yea, looks like a pre-spec as well. Looks to be the only one in the USAs far as I know they are not. The one being sent to California is a test vehicle kind of like the Nacho vehicles that have made it to dealers.
@JLWF Dealer Guy can tell us for sure.
JLWF Dealer Guy, do you have any idea if it is accurate to say that a Sting Gray order placed today would not be delivered until August/September timeframe?Yea, looks like a pre-spec as well. Looks to be the only one in the US
That seems a bit long. I'd say much sooner.JLWF Dealer Guy, do you have any idea if it is accurate to say that a Sting Gray order placed today would not be delivered until August/September timeframe?
Thanks. Would it be fair to say that it might add about a month or so to a standard color lead time? That seems a bit long. I'd say much sooner.
So how do you check what status your vehicle is in? Is there a way to check without calling the dealer?Yup I already have my VON & VIN in D Status last I checked last Friday.
