I think about stickers and remind myself of all the positive idealizations of owning the Wrangler to which they attach that I've yet to realize, and may never, just like many of you.

I bought the Dual top with this idea of riding with it down along Jones Beach Island: maybe next summer.

I bought the Wrangler with the idea of taking it places that aren't on maps. I haven't gotten around to that yet either. The closest time has allowed me is the gravel parking lot when taking my wife to the flea market.

The list goes on, and many of us do get to experience some or all the things we bought our rigs for....and some bought it for the idea we might or could, or should, or will, or have, maybe repeatedly.

Why should stickers on that rig be different? I could see it disingenuous to place a sticker on of a sight you've neither visited nor want to see. But if you simply dream of Moab, or Easter Safari, or the Pacific Coast Highway, or whatever that doesn't promote hate/bigotry put the sticker on if it makes you happy. Things like this sometimes help us get though the day.

Along similar lines, when the Chairman of Revlon was once asked about his cosmetics line he replied, "I don't sell cosmetics, I sell hope."

“After you visit Paris , would you put an Eiffal Tower sticker on your Jeep?”

Maybe

Love it! Yesterday was Veterans' Day too!

With that being said, here is my 2 cents...
Your Jeep, do what you like, but I wouldn't ague with a lady over it. ;)

But, with that in mind, only sticker I put on my vehicles is my avatar (or another sticker like it on the glass), to support all my brothers & sisters out there, & maybe a USMC sticker too. Also, I know some folks that get upset if you put a "dragon" sticker on your vehicle & you didn't drive that vehicle on the dragon (https://tailofthedragon.com/). But, not really the type of road you want to take your Jeep on. But, I had a lot of fun there with my MR2!

It’s your Jeep and the decals you choose to have on your Jeep are your personal preference and they are an extension of you.......not anyone else.
Enjoy life.....Enjoy driving your Jeep. Decals and all if you wish.
If your girlfriend feels slighted by your decals......that’s a RED flag !
Just how controlling does someone have to be.....to feel slighted by someone else’s decals ?
Friends.....real friends don’t judge...they accept you (tolerate you). And your decals.
If your decals were bringing some sort of discredit on you....real friends would let you know.
But damn if your GF is controlling what decals should be on your Jeep and those that should not......
.....you need to pay attention to this type of behavior.... because it could grow out of control quickly.
You have to decide if her criticism is aimed at making you (and your Jeep) look better....or if she is imposing control by virtue of relationship.
If it’s the first one...she is a keeper....pay attention to her.
If it’s the latter....cut and run for your life....or you’ll soon be trading your precious Jeep for a hybrid electric and you’ll never live up to her expectations anyway .....run Forest....run !

If your jeep has been there put it on your jeep. If not put it on your memory wall at home

I have no "sticker philosophy". I have never thought about putting a sticker on my Jeep.

However, I've given some thought to a girlfriend. After consideration, I believe my wife would find it highly offensive and possibly do something painful to me. Therefore, stickers and girlfriends are no longer a part of my life.

"Well I never been to heaven
But I been to Oklahoma
Well they tell me I was born there
But I really don't remember
In Oklahoma, not Arizona
What does it matter
What does it matter"

Couldn't help it, sorry.
very cool song

My rule for my Jeep and my Motorcycles has been no sticker unless it took me there.

I like the idea of stickers, but not that they aren't permanent. You go through all the trouble and expense and then lose them when you change vehicles. My Jeep is new and I want stickers, I just have to figure out how to keep them.

For me, they will represent where the Jeep itself has been.

There is a similar situation with RV's. Many have the "States" map on them and color in the ones visited. Question is, does a marked state mean you visited it or drove through it? Big difference. There has to be some level of "earning" a badge, doesn't there?

For our RV travels we decided years ago to collect post cards. Easy to find, cheap, small, transfers to any new vehicle.
