  1. Replace 5/16 cable with 3/8 "rope"? Can you run the same length?

I have a smittybilt XRC gen 2 9.5k winch. I want to swap the cable for synthetic. Per specs the XRC comes with 93.5' of 5/16" cable. I'm having problems finding synthetic line that's not 50' or 100'. Will 100' of 3/8 fit on the drum or do I need to shorten the synthetic? If so by how much...
  2. Who's got a fix/repair check list before the warranty runs out?

I think ESS? How would I know for sure? It has the same auto stop/start that all the JLs have (I think). It's a manual if that matters.
  3. Who's got a fix/repair check list before the warranty runs out?

Yes pretty much. Anything that's known to break that I've not yet looked at.
  4. Who's got a fix/repair check list before the warranty runs out?

Our JLU is a bit less than 200 miles from being out of warranty. What are the essentials to get finished/done while she's under warranty? We got the bubbling hinges replaced and we got the faulty clutch switch replaced.
  5. Tuffy security deck (JLU) with soft top issues. Any solutions?

If you own a Tuffy Security enclosure/deck and have a soft top you probably already know... But when you have the security deck installed and drop the soft top all the way back the deck prevents the top from locking in the down position. This creates a situation where at speeds much over 50...
  6. "Auto-on" and aux switch for same lights? Using towed car diodes

Sorry for multiposting but I have another question. I'm planning on adding light pods to our bumper and was planning on having them "auto-on" by splicing into my reverse leads on my tail lights. But we have the tow package with the 4 aux switch package. Could I use lighting diodes to have the...
  7. Is a relay (actually) needed for wiring aux LED reverse lights?

Planning on adding a couple of cheaper auxiliary LED pods into our new bumper. I was planning on splicing directly into the reverse leads for the tail light wiring harness so they come on and off with the regular reverse lights. With fairly low draw LED pods I *think* I'm not going to get near...
  8. Does this sway bar position seem right?

Wheel off, frame supported by jack stands.
  9. Does this sway bar position seem right?

It's weird I'm having one Jeep/offroad company here telling me they're the right lenght while another is telling me to go back to stock end links (which are just over half the lenght).
  10. Hawaii WTB Bartact Seat covers for JLU w/o rear armrest

He told me he'd sell then changed his mind.
  11. Does this sway bar position seem right?

Added JLUR springs to a JLUSs along with .75" Daystar spacers. This were the quick disconnect sway bar in links that the local vendors sold me. I feel like the sway bar is much higher (angle) than it was when I had the stock coils and springs and the stock in links
  12. Hawaii WTB Bartact Seat covers for JLU w/o rear armrest

    Black/black or black/red preferred.
  13. Suspension sag, just one corner?

I kept the OEM ones and added Daystar spacers. Each perch went back to the spring placement it came off off.
  14. Suspension sag, just one corner?

Fortunately but unfortunately no we double triple checked we were putting the taller ones on the passenger side.
  15. Suspension sag, just one corner?

I shoulda measured all 4 corners before adding the lift but didn't, so I'm not sure if it's lift related or not. (Put JLUR shocks+springs into a JLU Sport S and added 0.75" daystar spacers all 4 corners for ride quality/height). Both drivers side corners and rear passenger have a height that is...
  16. Which corner for which spring/shock? Adding stock Rubi suspension to sport.

Solved: by "taller" passenger side comment and by googling serials.
  17. California 2019 Rubicon Hard Top Suspension

@omi205 thank you for the part number write up, this just saved my ass
  18. Which corner for which spring/shock? Adding stock Rubi suspension to sport.

I bought Rubi take off springs/shocks and the person doesn't appear to have labeled which corner each came off of. Is there an easy (or hard but accurate) way to tell?
  19. Hi-Kift x Tuffy. An internal mounting alternative to stealth mounts (SOFT TOPS REJOICE).

It embarrassingly took me a couple of hours to figure out how to get the clearance just right in order for the jack to clear everything pertinent in both the open and closed position of the tuffy box lid. Which is why I felt like it would be helpful for me to make this thread so you can avoid...
