Hello,
l need to purchase a steering column for the air bag clock spring. My problem is that part is on back order w/o a delivery date. I found used ones, but the air bag deployed. My question is with the air bag deploying does that damage the wires in any way?

Do you mean to replace the steering colum control module? This module contains the clock spring.

Yes, l need the clock spring part # 68399807AB

Usually if the airbags deploy it will wreck the clock springs. Its possible it doesnt but do you want to take that chance?

Are you sure it is on back order? I enter that part number in Google and get quite a few responses that look like I can directly order from.

Also, the part number you reference appears to be for RHD vehicles. Are you sure that is even the correct part number for what you need?
