Yes, if you had a 90/91, the 91 would go on the passenger side. If that same 91 was paired with a 92, it would than go on the driver side. Smaller # always goes driver and larger # always goes passenger.

I hope you find the right oyster! ;)
Well didn't find the oyster this go. He had 4 sets, thankfully all together and not mixed up.

Two sets had a serial I haven't seen before and didn't know how to fully decode. He wasn't able to tell me more than they were Rubicons as he gets rid of parts from any others. There were two matching of each instead of having driver/passenger differences liked mine. Perhaps Diesel?

68307622AD
68253601AA - (in the sticky thread table)

Also he had a 392 set with these serial numbers. I believe they were matching.

68481302AC
68547087AA

He said that was gonna be quite a bit more money for the set and probably require more parts to make it work (at least it did for the installs he had done).

The other two sets I was able to decode. Both of them were front 59/60, rear 89/90. I'm not in a rush and since that's just two steps above mine, wasn't sure that was enough of a difference for me to buy today vs look around more.

I am going through this dilemma right now.
i put rubicon springs on my 2 door Willy’s and the rear passenger sagged almost an inch lower than the other side.
after checking the part numbers on the springs yesterday I realized that 90AA spring is on the drivers side, and 89AA on the passenger. Thankfully the shop that installed them is going to swap them over for me next week, then hopefully it will sit proper for me

Hopefully you get that taken care of soon :\ I remember feeling pretty paranoid about doing that when I did the swap

I guess I never updated this thread. Read some conflicting reports on here and from people at my local club about moving to diesel/392 springs, so I ended up deciding to go with 61/62 & 91/92s for a symmetrical jump up from the 57/58 & 87/88s that I had. I found them on eBay for a reasonable price. I'm really happy I learned how to decode all of them first!

What did you put them on ? And how much lift did it give you ?

Looking good! What kind of tires are those?

I have a JLU with 2.0, SOT, aluminum front/light steel rear bumpers. I added a .5" spacer on the front to account for rake (and possible future winch), so after the switch I ended up with a 1.5" on the back and 2" on the front. Afterward I switched to take-off Rubi fenders/34" tires.

I don't have perfect side by side pics, but here's one I have from an evolution over time from stock, to post-spring install, post fender switch out, and finally post tires.

Wow they seem light for 35s! I like the silver/white combo, you don't see that on a Willys much

Do you have any photos of what lift this got you? I am doing the same before and after spring rates on mine.

If you scroll a few posts back, you'll see a 4 way image comparison I did -- that has explanations of what I got and further evolution with fenders/tires in the two images after it. For pics with a better direct comparison of just the springs (angle wise) but worse lighting:

Look's great. Got me inspired to get our lift installed. I've got almost same JLU Willys with 2.0, SOT, light bumpers, etc. with 58/59 & 87/88s springs. Currently have 60/61 & 91/92 Rubicon takeoff springs, Teraflex 1.5" Level kit and longer Mopar LCA's sitting in the garage. It maybe a few weeks yet, but I'll share some info on the ride height and pictures once we're done. I was originally calculating this to be a 2"-2.5" lift, but after reading about you're lift, sounds like it maybe closer to 3"+, may have to go with an adjustable track bar, potentially longer shocks and sway bar end links.

TB22, do you have any pictures to share after your springs and lift was installed? I'm looking at doing something similar and wondering how much height you gained.

Unfortunately life has been getting in the way an haven't installed yet. Current plan is to get this lift and full rack that have sitting in my garage installed by spring. I will share once it's done!
