As many of us have commented, it appears that Jeep has tuned the diesel with a noticeable flat spot just off initial throttle application. The best explanation I have heard is that fuel economy drove that decision. Soft throttles save fuel. Yesterday I installed a Pedal Commander, a product that I would previously written off as snake oil.
It worked.
The install was (very) easy with the toughest part being the contortions I needed to perform to work under the dash. You younger folks will have no problem. The end result is simple. You push on the accelerator and the Jeep goes. Goes just like it should have in the first place. Only downside is, with a Scangauge, a Tazer, and now a throttle enhancer, the excess cabling makes my behind dash area look like the wiring loom from the space shuttle.
I was gung ho on the Banks PedalMonster, but it wasn't available for 2021s until Springtime, and it complicated the cabling mess further by utilizing the OBD port that my Scangauge uses. Adding a splitter would just be too much.
p.s. Obviously it does not impact power levels in any way, but the RIGHT NOW power delivery makes the butt dyno take notice. I have it set on City +1. Highly recommend.

I really wanted something to correct the maddening lag that only seems to happen when you really want/need the thing to respond without using something that alters the computer settings. I'm thinking it's gonna be money well spent.
