22 JLURD at 60k. I got the P026C code. Fuel quantity lower than expected. With the HPFP recall it kind of sends you this direction to get the pump replaced under the recall. I had the recall done and the light kept coming on. I kept resetting it and it would come back on anywhere from 50 to 120 miles. The head tech at the dealership has a Ram 1500 with the EcoDiesel and I asked him and he says thet code is not on the high pressure side. Still waiting on the O2 sensor as that is the next thing to replace to chase this code. I have a GDE tune so I sent them a note. They do not think the O2 sensor is going to fix that issue and also asked me if there had been any changes in the intake side and I had replaced the air filter about 3000 miles previously with one from Doc's Diesel. There was also a YouTube video that discussed the code and it seemes to come on for him if he did more highway driving. So I got a bottle of PowerService injector cleaner. put it in the tank near empty and half filled the tank. Also stopped using CC for awhile. Light came back on in 20 miles. I cleared the light again when I got home, topped off the tank 20 miles later. I also replaced the air filter element with a stock Mopar unit. I have stayed off the CC for the last 400 miles and no light. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorr to hear this, definitely tuned in to hear what the fix will be. Hopefully it's the air filter, I remember hearing some wonky errors from an over tightened oil filter cap.
What is this "CC" you stayed off of? I'm thinking it's not Credit Card in this case.

FYI
Found this post in the Ram Eco Diesel forum. He seemed to been having the same experiences as you. It might be worth a try copying his easy simple solution.

Hi Community,
This is my first post so forgive me if this is not in the right place or too long. I've been a member since 2016 and have been absorbing everything I see here. I have a 2015 EcoDiesel Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab 6.4 bed - completely stock - I am in SoCal. It has 37k miles on it and I bought it new in Dec 2015. It's been an awesome truck. The only mods are front/rear cameras, AmpResearch running boards and a hard tonneau cover (painted to match - Flame Red). I never tow anything with it and never carry anything heavy in the bed to overload it.
I have had every single recall done - including all the Diesel lawsuit recalls - no issues - truck still runs great. I use HotShot Diesel Extreme Additive every other tank. I change the oil every 5k miles (Pennzoil Euro) and the Fuel Filter at the same time. At least that's what I was doing until Covid hit and I lost track of the maintenance.
On June 12, 2022 we were did a 160 mile round trip day run. On the way to our destination, the truck ran great - we ran at 80+ MPH without any issues. On the way back, after being stopped for about 6 hours, the CEL came on - and I remembered all the posts I have read here over the years and thought "Oh Crap - is my engine about to blow?"
There was no loss of power - no anything. So I kept driving another 60 miles to get home. No issues.
When I got home I put my code reader on it and it showed P026C. I looked it up and it said something about "fuel injection quantity lower than expected". What the heck is that?? Back to the forum and searching the internet only to find a ton of stories about fuel pumps, fuel rails, bad injectors, stuff not covered under warranty and weeks at the dealer to diagnose and fix - only to have the code come up again.
Man - I'm going to have to sell my baby. This could be the start of a nightmare, I thought.
I somehow thought that there might be an issue with my fuel filter - because I missed changing it on the last oil change - that put it at about 10k miles. I figured I would change it and went and bought a WIX fuel filter and WIX air filter as well just for good measure.
I had previously bought the Geno's garage fuel filter wrench and drain kit. It took me about half an hour to change the fuel filter and air filter. (If you don't have this wrench and drain kit I highly suggest getting both - I did not spill one drop of diesel fuel anywhere - just make sure you have a half gallon container to drain the fuel into from the fuel filter housing when you remove the plug and something on the floor in case you do spill).
Once that was done, I re-pressurized the fuel system and started it. No problem. I cleared the P026C code and let the truck run for 5 min - it did not come back on. The next day I drove it 30 miles on the freeway at varying speeds - no code. A few days later I did the 160 mile round trip again - no code. I ran it past 90MPH, floored it several times to suck more fuel and nothing - no code. It appears to be cured. Whew what a relief!
What caused it? I believe that the fuel filter was so dirty that when I was on the original trip when the code came on - it happened as I was running from 70MPH to 80MPH passing someone and the truck got starved for fuel because the fuel filter was so dirty. I never believed it was my injectors because I have always used Hot Shot - they have to be clean and I never lost power when the code came on.
So - I think I dodged a bullet and wanted to share in case this helps anyone else out there. Change your fuel filter first if you ever get this code! Now I think I'm going to keep my baby since it was something minor (and my own fault)!

CC is cruise control. I find is surprising that with the torque that this engine can produce, that is cannot hold a gear while the cruise is engaged.

ohh right. I've heard some folks say they put it in manual to hold 8th. I always forget when I do that so haven't done it very often. I've wondered if they didn't leave a few stray lines of 3.6 code somewhere that makes it so quick to downshift. Although... with the GDE tune that seems unlikely.

Usually in the hills near home I lock the CC in 7th. It used be more aggressive in its downshifts but has smoothed out over time and the downshifts are smoother. No change in holding a gear with the GDE tune compared to stock. Their advertising says that it will but they cannot get the transmission to play nicer with the engine if you have the advanced safety package.

So it has been about 800 miles since I replaced the air filter and reset the CEL and it hasn’t come back yet. Fingers crossed…..

Update on your situation? Still no return of the CEL?
CEL never came back. Like i said, I guess too much air coming in will trigger the light with the code fuel pressure too low.

So I also had this issue, as of right now after clearing the code and been driving it just shy of 50 miles about an hour ride, mixed some minor highway in there for a bit of about 70/75 mph driving and so far code has not come back on yet! I use hotshot and first thing I did was refill (as suggested) at half thank cause I might of been putting in too much and the mixture might of not been right, then replaced both air and fuel filters. The only issue I’m concerned with is that the code was due to the fuel pump maybe bout to fail?? I’ve been keeping an eye on it and it seems to be very hot to the touch, there is a plastic cover on around it and you can’t really keep your hand on there long cause it’s that hot, is this normal?? I’ve read of people reporting clicking or ticking sound etc as potential sign of issues but it sounds normal just extremely hot to the touch

I have not had that code pop up since I went back to a stock filter.

I just purchased a new to me 2021 Wrangler Sahara Ecodiesel. It came with a clean record and a Certified Preowned Warranty, it is not part of the fuel pump recall. It threw code PO26C after about 80 miles. I took it back to the dealer and they replaced the in tank pump. It threw the code again about 200 miles later (I cleared it). I found this thread and looked under the hood to see about the air filter and found it had been replaced by the previous owner with a AFE cold intake cone filter. The air filter canister and hose was replaced. Again after reading this thread I think this maybe what is causing the code. I was wondering your thoughts on this and if I should make the dealer put it back to OEM specs with the right equipment? Or ?? thank you.

I'd take it to the dealership. See what they say. Especially if it's still covered under the warranty. That aftermarket stuff might come back to bite you though.

No code since I swapped back to Mopar air filters. Been a year since I ran into this issue.

Thank you both….I may just buy a new filter box and hose from Mopar and not talk to the dealer about it.
