So many options.I put 275/70/18 on my 2021 4 door sport altitude JL on my stock 18" wheels. It now rubs on my bumper. What do you guys recommend ? Leave it or relocate it ideas ?

I just picked one of those up from Amazon, and started installing it today. Based on the instructions, it said I could use the middle position for 35's with the stock plastic rear bumper, so that's where I set it...was hoping to not have to pull the studs and relocate them to the top holes if I someday upgrade to 35s (currently running 285/70 KO2s).The only real proper solution, that doesn't fix one problem while adding another, is an adjustable carrier. If sticking to 35's or smaller, I highly recommend the Teraflex Alpha HD carrier.
The Alpha has 3 height positions to properly clear the rear bumper. This is important, because the bumper is hard mounted to the frame, whereas the body is mounted to the frame via rubber isolators. This gives the body and bumper the potential of being able to move independently from each other. If the spare is contacting the bumper, that independent movement will transfer unnecessary stress to the tailgate.
The Alpha has a horizontal slide adjustment to account for a broad range of wheel and tire dimensions. Being able to keep the spare as close to the tailgate is important. First off, it minimizes the cantilever affect. The more a given weight is cantilevered, the more amplified its stress forces will become. Secondly, having the inner sidewall of the spare pressed firmly into the rubber tailgate bumpers will minimize rattles and shakes. Those unwanted movements could possibly be damaging over time, or at least drive you nuts from hearing that racket caused by every crack in the road.
Oh yeah, I should've mentioned that I used the highest position because I wanted to maximize drop-off clearance. Your right though, the middle position is best for bumper clearance and maximum view through the back window with 35's.I just picked one of those up from Amazon, and started installing it today.
