Some special construction?

Good evening, my new short JL Sport S has a few steel parts bolted to the front right of the frame that I don't recognise from my 2019. The construction is only on the right, is bolted on quite solidly and, as I see it, has no function.

What could that be?

This has been discussed in other threads. Supposedly, it is a “safety” piece of steel. It’s supposed to keep the front wheel/tire from getting pushed back too far toward the passenger side cabin in a collision.

You must have purchased the Jeep made for farming....... it's used for plowing. One just needs to attach a cultivator or sweep...... and your good to go.

Yup. It’s on pretty much every wrangler made since mid-2022+ I believe. Some people have gotten out their tools and ripped that joker off of there, but it takes some work from what I understand. But if it really is a safety thing… ?‍

From the factory? Yes, but many have removed them, either for esthetics or when installing sliders.
