Never understood these kinds of posts.

“Jeeps are terrible! But hey, you guys have a great life in your Jeeps!”

The “suckers” at the end is silent.

First time Jeep buyer, truely enjoyed the topless and doorless life for just over a year, but have no confidence in Stellantis and decided to divorce myself from them.

Once I learned of Corrosiongate I knew I wasn't going to keep the Jeep beyond the new warranty period. What accelerated my decision was the tanking trade-in values. They are shockingly low (45% on a 2023), so I cut my losses after I found one buyer who wanted exactly my build and paid a little more.

I can see myself buying a cheap 2-door manual beater in the future, though it may not be a JL if they are corroded to dust by then. This was my first and likely last new Stellantis purchase.

Wishing you all many trouble-free miles ahead. ?
Well bummer you had a bad experience with Jeep...but honestly you really don't sound like a Jeep guy....I've had 30+ new Jeeps and also own a used car dealership that sells alot of Jeep's I have 5 2021 and newer Jeeps Jl's and Jt's and have had zero issues oh and there diesels ..... These good bye post are kinda a blessing seems like everyone is some guy complaining about what a pos his Jeep is to a bunch of guy's that love our Jeep's Hope you find that perfect rig that makes you happy and has no issues

It's on the painted body panels.
That's pretty shitty. No excuses, there. Sure, I'd be a little irritated.

But it's a pretty easy fix going through Fiatsler's (mediocre) service. Could be worse.

I'm glad I got a Brite white 2019 jl.

Easy to sand the flake off and blend in witout being able to notice.

I do corrosion control after every major offroad event. May just be the Hawaii Marine in me since we combated rust on our Hummers there pretty regularly.

Our motto was "we have been doing so much with so little for so long, now we can do anything with nothing". Lol

Am I missing something? Where's the corrosion? This is 81000 miles from PA, through the rust belt, to Utah through all seasons.

What kinda Jeep owner doesn't fluid film their shit anyway?

Too bad we can’t protect our door hinges and body panels n the same manner.

I’ve seen a lot of these farewell sucka threads over the years, here and elsewhere, but typically they follow the OP describing a number of specific grievances and problems with their vehicle and/or dealership, how those issues were unresolved or poorly addressed, and how the vehicle turned out to be disappointing to them.

Not so with our OP. He doesn’t mention a single thing that was wrong with his particular Wrangler. He simply says that he lost confidence in the company based upon things that he had read or heard.

So he basically sold his Jeep for a fraction of the purchase price after just a little over a year of owning it, and which he claimed he enjoyed, because his imagination got the best of him.

Not necessarily. This forum is filled with owners who can't find a dealer who is willing to take on the warranty repair

I think I missed those threads, only ones I've seen were bad batteries or loose fuses or 1 were the owner damaged the wiring harness adding wires through the firewall
I mean a picture is worth 1000, so if you take 10 pictures ....

Sounds like the OP doesn't want a rig. Probably got a Miata.
