I have a '20 Willys and it doesn't have the fender gap filler either. I've wondered this before too.

Pre Lift.

Heres a couple of pics before the lift goes on for reference. The tires are 35x11.50 Nitto Trail Grapplers on the stock Willys rim.

No rub.

This thread is exactly what I was looking for, JLUW on 35x11.5x17 tires! Mine is also a 2020 Willys, but with a Rubicon spring swap currently rolling on 285/70/17 (33") tires. I'm jumping to these 35x11.5 tires in a load C, Toyo A/T 3 in the next few months. IMO, 35" tires look perfect on the JLU just like 33" tires look on a JL. I already installed a R/C relocation bracket in preparation for the 35" rubber. More than likely, I'll install TF 1" coil spacers to complete my lift along with Mopar LCA's. Did you recalibrate the speedometer and how does is drive now with 35" tires with the stock gears? Could you also please confirm your ride height, center of the keyhole to ground? It's probably around 43".
