First, let me say I love this top so easy to open and get sunlight, but I’ve only taken the windows out twice. What I would like to find is some replacement rear windows that are maybe clear vinyl so like I can take them out when I’m on the trail and then if I have to drive any long distance Back to the house, I can put them back in
The reason being is really hard to store the sky wouldn’t touch windows in the Jeep then go four wheel with them bouncing all around and the dogs miscellaneous what not back there any suggestions?

The SOT windows are a bit too cumbersome to store, especially if you have limited storage, like cooler, bed, clothes etc

I have a rear rack, so that adds into the mix.

If such windows were available in the aftermarket, it's likely that they'd have already received some airtime on this forum.

Just thinking out loud here: Is there any way at all that the OEM soft top side window panels could be retrofitted to a SOT-equipped Jeep? Or is that particular Wrangler separate and distinct, in terms of the unique hardtop design that makes the sliding fabric sunroof possible?

Would you consider sky one touch clearing (i.e. extra high) cross members mounted near the tailgate to bungee down the removable windows to when removed?

Other than that, maybe Jeff Scherb @jscherb has some sliding window kits that will fit the pop out rear side windows.

yes I have a window bag. but as they are a bit to cumbersome to store when you have a frog dogs a power station tools air compressor etc etc in the back. My thought is I would to have some simple that rolls up like the old school vinyl window my cj and Jk had. so on the trail roof open windows off. At camp put them on ( I'll sleep in the jeep) And yes I just started looking at the replacement vinyl windows on line. I would need to figure out a way to to retrofit them and that means some sort of hard piece for the swivel to close on or maybe just velcro?

This highlights the two things I would love to see.

First, a sliding window conversion for my half door tops. I saw a company made them for the JK, not the JL.

Second, a soft sided rear window kit made of the same canvas and soft windows. The frame could be a plastic replica with a canvas cover.

Sadly, neither exist…

Back when the Sky One Touch top first came out I was surprised that they didn't offer roll-up soft sides for it. I had implemented them to swap for the removable hard sides on my TJ/LJ Safari Cab hardtop design about 8 years before the JL top came out. I did some preliminary design work on roll-up soft sides for the JL and considered creating a prototype set to shop to some of the Jeep accessories companies I've done designs for but at the time there didn't seem to be enough interest to make the project worthwhile. It's not a terribly difficult design to implement, I'm surprised nobody has done it yet. Here are a few photos of my LJ Safari Cab with its roll-up soft sides, the same thing could be done for the Sky One Touch.

The reason I would never get half doors are the cheezy looking plastic windows.
The SOT corner windows take 2 minutes to take out/install and the bag can be put in the rear cargo area or in the back rear seating floor.

They were very popular during the YJ and TJ eras. Available via the JC Whitney catalog and elsewhere.

I don't have a SOT but I do have a soft top and I don't think the side windows could be used on a SOT at all...well, maybe with a whole lot of duct tape and bungee cords.
