Has anyone out there ever converted their Sky One Touch roof to a Hard Top/Soft Top?

Yes I have, you will need the brackets for the freedom panels to lock on to and the Targa brackets. The hardtop and softtop use a different windshield header panel with cutouts for the Targa brackets. The hardtop will plug in the same as the SOT.

I actually installed two of them, one on my Jeep and one on the Boss Lady’s Jeep, mine is currently hanging in my storage shed because Softtop>SOT.

I would set aside a few hours the first time. One caveat, the Jeep you are going to put the top on MUST be a factory hardtop and depending on the trim level it may be missing the two trigger wires for the SOT. If you want to verify the wires are present look for these two wires in the harness under the drivers side grab handle.

the Bosses Rubicon had them but I had to add them to my Sport S, not really a big deal but something to consider.

@2019JLUS I think you need to re-read the OP's post...he is switching FROM a SOT TO a softop or regular Hard Top so that he can use it as a "toy" off-road vehicle.

In 2021 my trim level made the SOT a 2k addition. Cant see owning a Jeep without the SOT or the removable corner windows.
