The slides used are 250-lb. capacity so they are very strong. It's quite stable but there's a slight bit of flex as might be expected with something that slides out as far as it does. Nothing that prevents it from being plenty stable for cooking and using the sink - unless you push up and down...

No drilling is required. They attach using the hardtop bolts (or the hardtop bolt holes, if no hardtop is installed).
