I am looking at a 4 door 2023 Jeep with the SOT option. Are there any known issues I should be aware of? I did find a tear in the one they had and they are looking to replace it.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I have not had any issues. It’s probably my favorite option. A couple things to know though:

- It’s louder than a regular hard top
- You can’t put the front windshield down
- Rear glass lift gate is fixed and will not come off easily
- Some people have reported issues with the weather stripping lifting causing leaks
- Others have reported radio issues where the bass cuts out when the top is back
- Some people have reported popped rivets on the the straps that retract the top.

Positives:
- Easy to close when you hit unexpected weather.
- For most people, fastest and easiest way to get the open air experience
- For a lot of us, trouble free design

I've got a 2020 JLU Sahara with the SOT. The only issue encountered were squeaky side windows latches which was fixed under warranty. No other issues apart from that.

I've been through touchless car washes a few times with no leaks. I echo @Bulletbill positive comments.

We have two of them and zero issues. Get a Hotheads liner for it and all is good with the noise and temp issues. Car washes are not an issue. The radio deal is the Jeep has two eq profiles, one for closed top and one for open, you can open the top and then press the close button to move the top a bit and it will go back to the “closed” sound profile.

I like mine and the Boss Lady LOVES hers.

‘23 JLU. Rubicon with SOT., 50k miles. I love it, especially for security and ‘cleanliness’. I can go to any parking lot, close it and feel my Jeep is a little more secure from theft, dust, rain/moisture … and bird poop! So much easier than my previous JK soft top.
Only somewhat common problem is a clicking noise from left side, open or closed. Sound like plastic to plastic click. Can’t find anything loose. Do a Forum search. Very common and yet hard to find a fix.

I love my SOT, only issue to date is that it sometimes (twice for me) 'forgets' where it is and has to be re-set. You'll know this when it only moves when you're holding the open/close button but stops if you let go. There are several videos on YT that show how easy it is to re-set. Otherwise I absolutely love it!

From what I hear, Sky One Touch SOT Issues can be redundant.

Have you seen anyone discuss the repair for the popped rivets on the straps. I've recently purchased a used 2020 Rubicon with the SOT and both straps have popped off. Top functions but I'm getting an error when I retract and have to manually put the straps back over the rivet for the top to close all the way.l

As Pete said, someone pasted the fix a while back. I’ll see of I can find it.
