I'm looking for help in troubleshooting my Sky One Touch. I just got a 2025 Willys with the SOT a month ago and its been my favorite feature on the whole build. I went to open it today while in Park and got the error "power top obstacle detected". It would open about an inch and then close itself automatically. I tried it again after turning the engine off & on. We had it open yesterday with no issue.

I watched the recalibrate video recommended in other threads but unfortunately I couldn't get that to work. That video showed an issue when closing, rather than opening. When I pressed and held the open button for ten seconds it would not open fully. I also checked the track for any debris but couldn't find anything. Its been raining for a few days and its very humid where I live but that doesn't seem like enough to create the issue.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting before I take it in for someone else to diagnose and fix? Thanks!

Check the plastic rivets the strap that opens/closes it attach to. They are known to break. There is an old thread that hopefully you can find showing how some repaired it using bolts and nuts in place of the plastic rivets when it was a prevalent issue. I haven’t seen any until now for a while and did ass u me the rivets were upgraded. One side breaking could perhaps be detected as an obstacle.

Here’s what I’d try:

Pop the hood and pull Fuse F102 (or F103 depending on your setup) — leave it out for about 10 minutes, then plug it back in. That soft-resets the Sky One-Touch system and can clear out false obstacle errors. Quick and easy first step before heading to the dealer.

The SOT is hands-down our favorite option on both our Jeeps — wouldn’t order one without it.

I have a similar issue ( no on screen warning ) as mine will not open either. I did check the fuse but did not keep it out for 10 minutes. I will try that today and see if that helps. I did have the windshield replaced a month or so ago, but can't remember if I tried to open it after or not. Surely that would have nothing to do with it...

Mine did the same thing the other day…first time. I was trying to close it…same warning…nothing there, not moving. Pushed the button again…closed right up. I hope it doesn’t happen again…or I’ll be back at the Stealership too!
