Are you sure the TnT fits on a 2-door? The description says "fits only 4 door unlimited". The picture looks like the "T" shaped cross brace is removed. It supports the front of the gas tank skid on a 2-door. They don't have any pictures of it on a 2-door.

Also, I don't see the issue with the way the M.O.R.E. skid mounts. It looks like the front braces attache to the motor mount brackets (welded to frame), not the motor mounts themselves. Where does it attach to the engine?
I emailed TnT and they said to call to order the 2 door. I did and made it clear it was for a 2 door JL Rubicon with automatic and 3.6 V6. They took the order with that info, and they sound like they know what they are doing, so we will see when it shows up.

I got the idea from the second picture in the post #19 that it looks to be bolted to the motor mount, maybe its the bracket and not the mount, now that I look closer I may have misinterpreted, but it is a bit ambiguous. I will dig a bit more on that.

I think MrMischief thought the same thing in post 20...

Can't quite tell from the install instructions either. Will keep looking.

It mounts to the bracket but also uses the bolt that goes through the motor mount. It still has the same amount of isolation from the motor as the tnt design.

Fantastic! Thank you.

How is the clearance relative to the stock exhaust crossmember? Hard to tell from the pics, but looks a little low maybe?

Eyeballing it About 3/4" at it's closest where the exhaust bends up out of the plate. The tnt will be easier to install. The motor mount bolts are annoying on the MORE plate but once it's done it's done.

Here's the TnT Custom's aluminum engine skid for the 2 door. It bolted right up.

pokey02,

Would you mind grabbing 2 more pics of yours?

A horizontal shot from the side showing the belly clearance. Is it fully flush with the frame rails, does it dip in the front near the exhaust pipe?

And a shot where it meets the gas tank skid. Is the factory gas tank skid mounting modified in the front? Doesn't it attach to the the cross-member that is removed?

I can only find 4 door pics online except what you posted.

Have you got to test it out in the last 4 weeks? How do you like it?

My order is delayed a little as TnT doesn't have any 2 door ones in stock and they are waiting for the material to make mine now.

Thanks,

No, didn't get the weight. I will see if I can find the UPS shipping email. It is light, but not sure by how much.

I used it today at a jeep jamboree. It's doing its job!

Thanks,
I am actually at the Cullman Jeep Jamboree right now. I will post more pics tomorrow.

It's doing its job. It's been used a few times so far. Will see how tomorrow at the Jamboree goes!

Here are a few more pics.

The skid stops at the gas tank. I am waiting for TnT to come out with a gas tank skid and xfer case skid. The JK version of their skid system, everything connects together.

The skid sits flush and does not cover the exhaust loop.

Fantastic. Looks great.

Glad it's working out for you.

I hope mine gets built and delivered quickly. I need time for a shakedown run before I head out west.

Thanks for the pictures. Now I can rest easy knowing I am getting what I hoped for.

TnT Customs has come out with a transfer case skid. I ordered it last night. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to trim a bit on my engine skid to get it to work. But it looks solid and provides good coverage and it's 1/4 aluminum. That's the issue with purchasing early production stuff.

I will be excited to get it mounted up.

Not sure this new skid is on their website yet ... I've just been pestering them a bit so they emailed me when it was available.

Pic is not my jeep, just the image they sent me of what it looks like.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the Metalcloak skids for my Turbo 2 door. A bit more material than I wanted but can’t beat the quality or protection. I’ll post some pics as soon as I get them.
