I'm liking the SiriusXM thing, so I'd like to keep it going after the free trial period. But I'm not in love with it. I keep getting messages from them about offers and renewals (kinda irritating actually).

What's the best renewal deal anyone here has got for renewing? What should I expect to be reasonable?

First tip for SirusXM: Do not give them a credit card. That'll keep them from auto-renewing you at a much higher price.

2nd tip: Negotiate each year. Let the service expire and that day or when you're ready, negotiate another year.

Exception: If they'll give you a multi-year price you're happy with (they likely won't) go for it.

I have 2 vehicles with the service and the 3rd we use the app. You can use 1 service payment and the app but it may restrict the number of listeners at one time. We often leave SiriusXM on at home (Amazon Alexa) or someone else in the family is listening so we have 2 accounts and the app(s).

^^^^ same as above
The most common deal I usually get is the $ 5 per month which requires a yearly subscription, $ 60 plus taxes and fees
In the past they would throw in an eco dot etc but I don’t know if those deals are still running, as always threatening to cancel cause you don’t really need it or use it etc will usually trigger this $ 5 a month deal

I just got a mailer for $4.99 a month for 12 months. Came out to $6.70 a month with taxes and fees. Credit card was required though
That’s what they always say. Just tell them you don’t have a credit card and you’ll pay by check. They’ll do it. Trust me they’ll send you a bill and you can pay by check

My 6 month free trial is about to expire. A while back I got an offer to extend it for 3 months for $2/month so I signed up for it. Now I'm covered until August.

$99 for 3 years is best offer I've ever seen. As others have said...$5/month is normal. I've been a member since 2015 and as of last year they put me on an indefinite $5/mo account. You just have to tell them you don't use it enough anymore to justify paying any more than that. The most I've ever spent is $7 a month in the past 7 years. But 95% of the time I've spent $5 a month.

I’m on my second renewal at $120.19 for 3 years. I had to fight like hell for the renewal, and will promptly cancel if they won’t renew next time around.

After my trial expired, I took the advice of members & got it renewed for $5/month + tax, paid by check; but they only allowed me to renew for 6 mos. I'll only agree to the same deal again, but will go for yearly if I can get it; but yeah...NO credit card.

I'd be good with 5 to 6 dollars a month. Thanks! I'll set that as a goal.

$5/mo when paid yearly.

There are also some credit cards that reimburse for streaming/entertainment subscriptions, which SiriusXM qualifies for in the case of our Amex Platinum.

NOT wise/prudent to use your bank charge card when dealing with XM. XM has a track record of screwing over those that keep a card on file.

Hint: Buy a VISA gift card and use that to pay your XM subscription with... You can get the pay by credit card, year deal and not be subject/not chancing XM hitting your charge card in the future..

Or ... use a service like privacy.com. You control the card and can pause or delete it at will.
