Greetings! I searched and didn't find anything on this, so here goes...

2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport
Background: I struggled to figure out how to change what gets displayed on the Android Auto screen. It's normally the map and Spotify. But I like listening to SiriusXM as well but couldn't figure out how to change the display from Spotify.
I finally found how to change what displays, but now I have a new conundrum. I'm listening to SiriusXM, but when I add that widget to the AA screen it is basically blank. When I click on the 3 bars in the lower-left corner the next screen says, "Log in to start listening". Does anyone know how to address this? I'm obviously signed in because I'm listening. Is there a separate login somewhere in the car or app? I tried rebooting, but the same issue persists.

I hope I described this well enough. Please feel free to ask for further details. TIA!

I don't think you can control Sirius XM from Android Auto.

Their app is for streaming over the Internet, not controlling the radio.
Seems strange that it would be an option to display within AA. Perhaps it's a placeholder from prior?

No, you can use SiriusXM on AA, that's how I normally use it. At least until they redesigned the app recently and screwed it up royally. But the app has more stations available vs the Jeep radio.

I'm not certain what your problem is, but you need to sign into your account on the phone app. If you don't have an account, you'll have to create one and add your free trial using your radio ID found in the radio settings.

Well, signing in via the app was definitely part of a solution. The widget is now populated. But it appears there's not 2-way integration between Media and AA. I was hoping to be able to see what's playing on SXM as selected through Media within the AA display. If I select Spotify from within AA and play something and then switch to Media the screen displays what was selected on the previous screen. Minor inconvenience I suppose.

Ah, I see what you're trying to do. The media button should still show the AA SiriusXM info when playing there, but there's no connection between Uconnect and AA.

You can play XM through the normal head unit, but it won't display properly on the app. Or you can play XM through the app and Android Auto, but it won't display current music on the head unit outside of android auto. They don't have that kind of connectivity between them.

When you're playing content through the AA app is it satellite or internet? It's just streaming over the internet and it's unrelated to XM in the head unit, right?

Right, uses mobile data through the app. The reason I use the app vs radio is 1 - additional stations and 2 - I can see what's playing on all the stations so I know whether I want to select a channel. Like I said, the redesign made everything worse and less efficient, so I'm using the radio more and more now.

Android auto works with SiriusXM if it's already on your phone. Otherwise you need to select Media and choose XM. You will need a subscription and be logged in either way. If it's on your phone, it needs to be active on the phone or it gets funky trying to get it running.
