Hey everyone, did anyone renew their subscription after a year? Were you able to negotiate the price down? I like being able to see the current charge level, even if it takes 2-3 minutes to refresh. I cannot think of another way to see it without actually getting in the Jeep.

I didn’t renew the Guardian with my 2018 Grand Cherokee. Only the satellite radio. And I DO negotiate every year to get a $5 per month charge. With taxes etc it’s around $70 per year. I renew online with the “chat”.

I haven't pursued it, but best offer I think I've gotten for the Jeep is 2 months free with a 12 month contract.

The last time I turned it on on the Ram was an offer in 2019. $60 for 6 months.

Both are currently not turned on.

We have radio in both of our vehicles. I mentioned it to the rep over the phone but that didnt move the needle with Guardian. $12.99 was the lowest package and that seems like a lot for a slow APP to tell me the charge level.

At least on the Ram, the remote lock/unlock was awful. The Viper Smart Start I had for years on my old F150 was significantly faster, more reliable, and less expensive.

The app is slow and I don't use the satellite radio, but I frequently use and appreciate the remote start & lock/unlock. Preheating or cooling while plugged in saves me a couple miles worth of battery, not to mention the comfort of preheated seats & steering wheel in the Winter.
I chose the "Guardian Remote" plan for 129/yr.

Agreed, the fob is a better choice if you are in range for remoting. The bizarre feature for me is the gas level notifications. I knew I was slightly under a quarter left last week but didnt have any long trips coming up so I held off on gas. I kept getting notifications that I had less than an eighth when the dash clearly showed 70 miles and just under a quarter.

Mine stopped working again, but it was useless even when it worked.

I just guess how far along it is based on time elapsed, and how fast the charger is that it's plugged into.
