UConncet App needs some work

Hello everuone, we recemtly purchased our 4XE and it seems that the UConnect app needs wok regarding updated data. The app doesn't update completely unless the vehicle is turned on/started. The range data is usually incorrect also. Are we the only having this problem?

100% normal, unfortunately.

100% normal and 100% terrible. Exactly as terrible at it was on my first UConnect vehicle back in 2014. It is crazy that its almost a decade later and the app hasn't improved one bit. FCA should be embarrassed.

As of today I removed the app from my phone and I'm going to cancel the Guarian subscription. It just not worth the money as I only drive about 5000 miles a year.

The app is total trash compared to every auto manufacturer, wife drives a suburban and it is easy to use and laid out well.

I agree. A company the size of Stellantis should have a team of software designers and engineers that are as talented as their hardware counterparts.
With the move to electrification, many have argued that it will be the UI/UX (a.k.a. software experience) that will be the greatest differentiator between vehicles. Apple and Google obviously believe that. They've invested heavily in an effort to grab a large share of a very lucrative market.

It is my experience that the only manufacturer whose app and software just work like it's supposed to is Tesla. I am an old gearhead. This is the first car I have owned that I can't really complain about.

Tesla got their app pretty dang near perfect in just a few years. It shows that it *can* be done and there is no excuse for other companies to have totally crap apps.

I also have a range issue on the dash. Never goes over 130 miles. 4xe has 3100 miles on it. Was a show truck for auto shows by FCA. Had wrong tire size in ECU whole time. Could that be causing it? I updated the tires specs in the ECU about a week ago. Will it ever come around or can I reset it somehow?

Well the radio does need power. Did you think it would update all by itself without power?
