Quick question for any engineers, or "old salt dog" wheelers...I know that if applied properly, a single shear setup in certain applications is just fine. My question is do you think this is one of those instances? I'm not sure if the load a steering stabilizer sees is substantial enough to cause concern. I want to move my stabilizer up out of harm's way and I see a few relocation kits that mount both ends in single shear and others that mount the axle side at least in double shear. All of them I've seen place the tie rod side in single shear.

Thanks guys

Single shear design is plenty strong, especially with the grade 8 hardware they use. That bolt is probably only seeing less than 100 lbs of peak load. Running a very similar setup on my JK.
