Which style makes more sense? The “Grey” or the “Red” example?

i am torn, my husband has for his truck the “Grey” one and it works great to get in, but when I want to use it to get out, it’s in the wrong spot (at least for me).
Female, 5.7, 24 Willys, daily driver … which I think pretty high ?

I always liked the look of the ones on the grey one, hence having those same ones on my old 2-door for the five years I owned it.

That said, I feel like that's not the answer you are looking for here. ?

I guess it’s personal preference. Just can’t decide. Or I take these plastic boards by mopar !? Too many options

Another option, if you want to get fancy, check out AMP PowerStep XL. I have those on my new one from previous owner, and looks like they also make them for the 2-door. Extra wide step with these and great for ease of entry/exit.

The red looks like it would much easier getting in and out. The gray steps look like you are limited in where you can place your foot and could be an ankle bruiser, especially at night or getting out on uneven ground. My .02.

The red also seem less likely to get caught on an obstacle off road.

I know what you mean about the ones on the gray JL. My buddy has similar ones on his Silverado and they're just awkward. I kinda like the steps on the red JL, but am not crazy about the bar that hangs below. I have the Mopar tubular steps on mine. They don't hang down too low and have a large area to step on. They're great as long as you're not planning on some hardcore rock climbing.

They make more sense if you're going to do a lot of off-roading they protect the Jeep better than regular Rock sliders from the factory and they don't have that separate step that could get hung up on rocks

We have the Grey photo ones and they seem to work well for my wife and the grandkids. The Jeep had these on them when it was purchased and other than a spray of Fluid Film in the main tubes, seem to be holding up well.

I prefer ACE Industry side bars and was going to be getting another set, but as I stated, the one’s I have have been working well so far.
