I did not see the engine posted anywhere (I may have missed it), but if a 3.6L and a ZF8, this is what I would do:

33" = 4.56
35" = 4.88
37" = 5.13
38+ = 5.38

I have been through the range in my 2019:

33" + 4.10
35" + 4.88
37" + 4.88
37" + 5.13

So I believe I am in a good position to give you some advice--4.88 is going to be the sweet spot and it will be peppy and I think you will enjoy it much more than 4.56 gears.
He’s got the 2.0.

@Ian4351 I am in the same boat JLUS with 35s but the 3.6 and 8sp auto. I’ve been combing this site for weeks looking at advice from all the members. 4.56 seems to be the main consensus and coincidentally what my dealership recommends also. I am likely to do this upgrade soon, just can’t deal with the lack of performance on a daily driver. Then you get into what brand of parts you should use. Seems if you can find Dana/Spicer parts that would be the way to go since its the same as what the factory put in it. At least that’s my thinking on a brand new vehicle.

CS,
With the 5.13s and 8sp , what speed do you comfortably cruise at?

I haven't begun to look at brands yet. Just got my lift and tires done on July 12, so its all new to me but I definitely noticed a change in power and shifting. I definitely want to correct it in the best way possible.

DO NOT let your dealership do a gear job for you. Yes, wait as long as it takes to get Dana/Spicer parts. Consider 4.88 if you drive hills on a regular basis, have a heavy wheel/tire combo, or think there’s ever a chance you’ll go to 37s. Also as others have said, if you can find some rubicon takeoff axles you’ll have 4.10 gears, lockers, and a much stronger axle combo. Spending money on the factory sport axles is kind of a waste.

I haven't even thought about axles yet.

Honestly if you’re just gonna spend your life on easy trails on those 35s then don’t start thinking about axles, you don’t need them. If you’re like most of us you’ll catch the bug and literally never be finished with modifications. My wife keeps asking me if I’m done. I respond with “I don’t know what that means”.?

You recommend 4.88 as opposed to 4.56?

If you think about it..after you changed out tons of heavy jeep parts ….you are better off going 4.88 for the extra power.
