This may sound stupid but I just got a 2019 rubicon a couple weeks ago and have not tried going 4 low yet. I used to have a rubicon about 7 years ago and went low many times. I notice on the new shifter it has 2L 4H N and 4L. I know that I have to go into neutral before going into 4 low but does it matter if I do that from the main shifter or can I also do it from the one on the left. I hope that makes sense

Get the Jeep at a 2-3 mph roll, put the transmission in neutral, then in one fluid move, pull the transfer case shifter into low range. Then you are good to go.

it is the transmission that has to go into neutral to take the load off of the transfer case.

thats kind of what I thought, but why do they have the N on both shifters. What is the point of it being on the same shifter as the 4L

The N on the 4L is used for when you have to tow your Jeep

beat by 1 minute. Lol

Both the transmission and the transfer case have neutral positions, hence why both shifters have a N on them.
