Service axle locker system

Lately occasionally I will be breaking for a stop and a light/warning will pop up saying "service axle locker system". Then it goes away as soon as I start moving...or just go away eveb before I start moving. Has anyone had this happen?

My lockers actually work though...and the light just goes on for like 10 seconds. Only happens maybe like once or twice a week.

They replaced a sensor....fixed it kind of for awhile. Now it does it literally everytime I break or accelerate. I have to take it back...was just waiting for winter to be over.

Check the wiring going into the locker. Sounds like braking is putting stress on them.

Mine is doing the same lately. I checked locker connectors and even bought the Z-auto bypass. I tried it on both front and rear lockers but still get the message. Suspect it's more CANBUS goofiness I've been plagued with for several years.

I know this is an older thread but these codes are custom and not easily found so I thought I'd make this post to help people with their issues. These codes more than likely can be resolved by purchasing the ZAuto Z Locker or the mopar part 68544629AA

C144D-11 Front Diff Position Sensor Circuit Shot To Ground
C144D-15 Front Diff Position Sensor Circuit Short to Battery Or Open
C144D-64 Front Diff Position Sensor Signal Plausibility Failure

C1451-11 Rear Diff Position Sensor Circuit Shot To Ground
C1451-15 Rear Diff Position Sensor Circuit Short to Battery Or Open
C1451-64 Rear Diff Position Sensor Signal Plausibility Failure

Search; Locker position sensor potting-Dana 44. Worked for me, I found oil in the sensor and steel fuzz on sensor magnet. I drained and cleaned inside of differential and potted rear sensor, let sensor and loctite on sensor screw cure for about 45 hours filled diff. with Valvoline 75w140.. no more "ding" service axle locker message.

I am familiar with it. I went with a different solutions and have one tons arriving in a few weeks.

Yes. All it takes is oil getting into the sensor. Tazer makes a bypass that is a quick Band-Aid fix.
