If you're running your jeep through the mud, driving on salty roads, driving on salt water beaches. I'm reasonably certain any vehicle will eventually start to show signs of rust. Getting under your vehicles inspecting and applying a product like fluid film can really go a long ways.

Fair enough… but it seems you are assuming the troll is versed in chemical reactions to the extent you are. Rust is similar one form of corrosion.
