I've purchased most of the originally mentioned items and wanted to seek some advice about the McGard Wheel Locks (Part # 24515). I decided to have my mechanic install them since I don't trust myself not to over tighten and don't have a digital torque wench.

My mechanic expressed concern over using these because the cone shape did not match the rest of the stock lug nuts:

Is this a legitimate concern with regard to weight/load distribution on the lugs? A representative from McGard says these should work (they are the same thread size) and I assume they have done enough rigorous testing of their product, but I wanted to see if anyone could provide me with a more scientific answer?

Have any of you installed a kill switch in your jeep? If so do you have one you recommend or what did you use? How did you install it?

Also, have any of you used any tracking devices on your jeep? I know some of the Jeeps come with tracking devices from the dealers (https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/need-help-removing-gps-tracker-add-on.54014/) but what if I want to add my own? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Both Verizon and AT&T have vehicle trackers you can plug into the OBD port. They also communicate with the engine's PCM and provide diagnostic info, and alert you to upcoming maintenance issues.

You just have to pay monthly and it only works when you the Jeep is within a cell tower range.

I'm kinda surprised that the only JL Tuffy Security Product offered is that tiny center console insert They have replacement glove boxes and underneath drawers and such for JK's and TJ's etc.

New Jeep owner here. Wanted to give a quick run down of the security-related accessories I'm planning on purchasing and get feedback and/or suggestions:
Do I have all the bases covered? Are there any additional security issues Jeep owners face that I may not be aware of? I should note that I got the Remote-Start and Remote-Proximity Keyless-Entry packages on my Wrangler Rubicon.
I added the EzTrunk so I have a secure place when the top is off
also setup my Tazer with a pin code (enter up to 8 sequence of steering wheel buttons) and carjack mode that stops the jeep if someone takes the jeep without the key fob

The tazer can also do a light show and horn if the hood gets opened

just have to remember to disable these features whe. you valet or bring the car in for service.

New fear unlocked:

Was not aware of these features and Tazer is becoming more appealing the more I read/hear about it -- thank you!

While it is difficult to stop a determined thief, we can slow them down and make it more difficult...
• Locking hood latches (not high security but a visual deterent)
• Lasfit Stealth hood lock (nicely integrated with key fob)
• Tazer hood alarm
• Tazer PIN code
• Gorilla spline wheel locks
• Locking gas cap
• Locking hitch pin
• Faraday bag
and...
• An old-school Club steering wheel lock (when staying at hotels)

Well, I am happy to report that so far I have had no theft issues. I even went so far as to get an RFID blocking pouch for my keyfob to prevent signal boosting. Can't say for sure if that was what stopped them, but we had some thieves ransack a bunch of cars in our complex recently and my Jeep was not one of them. I've since added some security cameras trained on my Jeep to capture any further suspicious sctivity.
