I say deterrent because any hardcore thief will find a work-around. With that said, for less than $17.00/door this seems (to me) to be a worthwhile investment.

WARNING! Be careful to place your removal socket and OEM nuts SOMEWHERE SAFE!
Also, where do you store your OEM door nut removal kit that came with your Jeep? Hopefully NOT in the Jeep! I may or may not have done that in the past
