if you’re going to pull something, why not pull a fuse or relay to the fuel pump? this would surely answer your question in the negative.
another thought - if they can pick the lock to the door, why couldn’t they pick the lock to the hood?
another thought - couldn’t they just pull the cord in the console to put it in neutral and wheel it away?
ugh. sorry for the depressing post!!
nothing is perfect, Its just a deterrent to cause the would be thief more grief. They don't like when things take to long. Plus if they computer swap the fuse is a better option. BUUUTT, it only takes a second to open the fuse box and see if someone added one of these in line terminals things to the starter Again nothing is perfect but anything helps.

to the OP here is the starter circuit. fuse F02 40A Stater system fuse- F04 25A fuel pump relay fuse

I wonder how many car thieves would open the fuse box and could tell if a fuse was missing. If you were concerned that they would open the fuse block, recognize that a fuse was missing, and then pull a fuse out of their pocket to put in there... just get a burned out fuse and put in there whenever you park for a long time. Now the thief has to suspect that a fuse is bad and start pulling them out and testing them.

I like idea of pulling more than one fuse and replacing them with dysfunctional ones.

You don't have to pull fuses to check most of them. They are exposed on the top and a test light will tell you.............. might want to check to see if the thing will tell you which circuit is failed as well.
The Jeep thieves are smarter than you think - we've discussed this to death (that poor dead horse) in the JT forums - they know where the bus star connections are, they know what to look for. Many likely target specific vehicles as is evidenced by those who reported their JTs stolen in those forums. They knew what they were doing, they were targeted. Professional thieves look for specific targets and know what they are doing.
Why else would a glove box be removed and bus connectors messed with or wires used as jumpers found on the PDC?
IMO, skip the fuse, pull a relay. It's a lot harder to by pass with a paperclip, unlike a fuse.
