Helping a friend choose and configure a new Wrangler. Was leaning him towards a Sport S (I have a 2021) but he wants leather seats. I do not think Leather is available on the Sport S but when I go to the configurator it shows 2 options of Black Perforated or stitched leather for $1750 under "Additional Interior features" with a picture of a seat. When I select it, it adds the $1750 to the cost but when I look at the details it still seems to show Cloth seats. Any ideas? Am I correct that you can NOT get leather on the Sport S & would need to go to the Sahara Model to get Leather. Any help on what trim(s) he can get leather on would be appreciated.

I ordered leather seats for my Sport S, I think Jeep just doesn’t have the best pictures sometimes in their configurator. The 2023 builder is still pretty broken, at least on my end, but if you click 2022 and select leather, you’ll be able to click the “Explore 360” button for the interior and see that the seats are in fact leather. Not sure why this button has issues on the 2023 builder

Can you order leather seats for a Willy”s also? I was not aware of being able to order for a sport … Cool!

I believe those are the Mopar seat cover options, kind of like adding an accessory like the Mopar floor mats, if that makes sense.

I believe the list of parts replaced will be different than the option leather, for example, the center console lid and dash parts.

Yeah, the configurator on the Jeep site is ridiculously buggy. Plus, it seems that some options come and go based on availability. I would suggest using the site to get a general sense of the options you and your friend want, then go to the dealer. They will have the actual options available for each model at any given time.

The "MOPAR Stitched Leather" option is basically an aftermarket (Katskinz, specifically) option that is installed at the factory.

The Jeep will be built as a cloth build out (so no pull-down armrest in the back, no leather door inserts, etc) and then after the build is completed, it goes to a separate section of the factory where the cloth is removed and the leather is installed.

This is different from the regular factory leather option you find on the higher trims (though the stitched leather is ALSO an option on those higher trims)

Thanks for that help - I've been experiencing problems with the 2023 builder also. Good to know it's not me :).

Yeah, the 23 build site leaves something to be desired.

That's great information that I did not know. Thanks much, really appreciate it!

I would go the Katzkin route for more options if they stick with the Sport pkg.

Keep in mind, perforated is not a good option if you plan to go topless. Rain will go right through the holes and then your foam is wet and your leather is wet on the unprotected backside.

Great recommendation - I would not have thought of that...
