Hey fellas, a bit funny and a bit disappointing at the same time. Behold butt imprints.
My 2 month old Jeep is showing some fairly disappointing signs of wear and stretch on the seats. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Driver side not too bad, passenger side subject to skinnier folk in my family.
Is this worthy of a dealer visit?
Not sure what to do aside from putting covers or a foam cushion on the seats...
Thoughts?

Now, that's a new one on me. I can't comment on JL leather, as both of ours have cloth, but I've had a few vehicles with leather seats over the last 30+ years of driving, and have never seen that happen. Even the 20-year old leather in my son's Liberty Limited doesn't have butt imprints. There are some grooves in the back seat from where the child seats were strapped in, but they were permanently mounted for years at a time.

Tarik, I wish I could help you with this. I have the same seats, with just normal, slight wrinkling, without needle-butt cheek imprints. I would at least ask the dealership about it.

At least it doesn’t look like this:

That’s not right. I am in the 320lb range and no sagging of seats.

Yeah that's why I had to ask. I've owned many cars with leather, never seen anything like it - especially with such a new vehicle. Been reading up on the issue, I think the next move is a trip to the dealer. It isn't a huge problem, but this wasn't a cheap vehicle or option.

I had the same issue in my 2020 JLUR and was able to have my local dealer replace under warranty - didn’t happen again to the same degree on the second seat.

That's promising. Thank you!
Off to the dealer I'll go.

2 months old? I’d take it back. No way it should be like that. That’s why I always go for cloth. Good luck with that one
