Hi all, I did a search but it's not resulting with anything recent. My Jeep should be in next month, and I'm wanting to get a screen protector on the 8.4 inch UConnect on day 1. Can't seem to find the Mopar screen protector in stock anywhere, and the amazon ones have some very mixed reviews. Was wondering if anyone had a link to one they purchased and are happy with. I have a tough time trusting the amazon reviews, and figured I'd ask you all.

Thanks!

Unless I'm looking at the wrong part, the Mopar 8.4" uConnect screen protector seems to be in-stock just about everywhere for ~$20 and has good reviews..

Appreciate the response! Quadratec was and is still showing out of stock for me, and google was just showing a bunch of ebay and amazon options aftermarket options.

No problem! And sorry about the Quadratec link, didn't realize it was out-of-stock there.

Searching "Mopar" "82215337" should pull up the best Google results.

No big deal! Quadratec and 4WD are typically my go to for Jeep parts, been watching them both for it to come back in stock but wasn't having any luck.

Been running this one for a couple years now.
AmazonSmile: LFOTPP Car Navigation Screen Protector for 2018-2020 2021 2022 J eep Wrangler Sahara Uconnect 8.4 Inch, Tempered Glass 9H Hardness Car Infotainment Stereo Display Center Touchscreen Protective Film : Electronics

The Mopar one, I think, is thicker and plastic instead of glass. Put one of these on my wife's challenger too. I don't think either vehicles will need protection from impact, but with all the hand sanitizer being used these days I worried that the solvents in hand sanitizers would eat the upper layer of the touch screen away. Also, I don't have to worry about dirty hands scratching the screen. So I went with the above.

A little more glare is possible since hardened glass is going over the anti glare coating of the screen. (Kind of like waxing a flat finish) But I haven't had an issue from the driver's seat. On the plus side it makes the screen look more defined or better contrast. Some say it looks more HD.

I have on order from Quadratec on back order since Feb. Still nothing. I have tried ordering it from other locations only to get a dropped order after the fact when they realize they don't have that size either. 7" Unconnects...no problem apparently.

I'm running the same. After the first trail ride I did, I saw how much dust built up on the display and I did not want that getting ground into the display.
After 3 years, my screen looks brand new.

When I cleaned the screen a few weeks ago I noticed wear in areas that I touch the most. I ordered this one (Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [GlasTR Slim] designed for Jeep Wrangler (2018-2022), Gladiator (2020-2022) 8.4" Dashboard Touchscreen - Matte/Anti Fingerprint) through Amazon and I’m very happy with it. It went on easy and with no air bubbles.

I've never considered getting a screen protector for a part of the dash. Has anyone actually scratched their uConnect?
I've seen a few pics here of folks that scuffed theirs up pretty good. Only noticeable when the screen is off, though. Usually happens from repeated touches in the same area and I'm guessing it had some gunk or grime that sort of acted as an abrasive over time.

Yeah these displays lose their oleophobic coating and whatever else they've got on the glass pretty quickly compared to a smartphone or an iPad or something. My 2019 is marked up pretty significantly in the high touch areas - I'm not typically one to recommend or use screen protectors but in the case of the Uconnect stuff it's definitely worth doing.

The display glass itself can be replaced fairly inexpensively if you're handy with electronics, I'll probably do that if it ever gets scratched, or the coating loss becomes noticeable in use. You can also remove the remainder of the coating with a cloth and some 70%+ alcohol or sanitizer rubbed in a somewhat firm circular motion for awhile. No real harm in doing this, the display just becomes slightly more reflective and more susceptible to fingerprints.
