Considering buying this screen protector for my JL. Has anyone bought this specific protector? Good? Bad? Any other options?

I went with the one you linked to and like it a lot, also the one @Terrymo linked looks great too.

I'd ask yourself if you want a gloss or matte finish. At first I thought I wouldn't like the gloss finish but it's grown on me.

I didn't see the other product that Terry posted and I didn't stop to think 'gloss' vs 'matte'. I would think the 'matte' finish would have less glare. Opinions? Also..how do these attach to the screen? adhesive?

No issues with this one since 7/21.

LFOTPP Car Navigation Screen Protector for 2018-2022 2023 J eep Wrangler Sahara Uconnect 8.4 Inch, 4Xe 2023 High Altitude Wrangler Glass Car Infotainment Display Center Touchscreen Protective Film https://a.co/d/iD6vqrf

Many are the same item just sold by different sellers. Pretty generic. Just like cell phone screen protectors.

It attaches just like a screen protector for an iPhone.

Go Spigen, the Mopar one is ?, I had Mopar flimsy protector before, meh

I got the Spigen this time, these radios should have been shipped with a protector installed from the factory considering they cost upwards of $1,000

My Jeep is only one year old, but I bought this one after using the company’s products for iPhone and Apple Watch. I’m happy with the quality of their products.

Personally, you want this one because the stick-on handles that come with this version allow you to place the protector in exactly the right spot. I went through two other screen protectors that just used the tape and both of them were misaligned and I had to pull them back off.

Was initially gonna get the Mopar screen protector, but went with the Spigen one instead.

Mostly happy with it. Fits well with maximum coverage, installed easily without a single visible speck of dust or bubble stuck underneath (which rarely ever happens for me, like 1 out of 20 devices at best) and it completely stopped the fingerprints and smudges I was getting without using any protector at all.

Only have 2 minor complaints. The first is that during the daytime, it has a slight matte sheen too it, which makes it impossible to see anything if the sunlight is reflecting off of it at just the right angle (also had to increase the uConnect brightness one notch to offset the sheen). Thankfully the bad glare issue rarely ever happens, but I've never noticed the same problem without a protector in the year prior. And the other complaint is mostly my fault. While the install was easy and I was incredibly careful to get everything lined up, I still installed it just slightly crooked - like a fraction of a degree rotated. Doubt anyone else would notice, but it kinda bugs me. Thought about trying to remove and re-position it, but wasn't sure if it was designed for that and didn't want to risk getting dust/bubbles by trying it.

I know Jeep/Stellantis loves making that extra $40 for the few people that actually buy their Mopar protector, but I agree 100% that a $1,000+ radio option should come with a free factory-installed screen protector. Heck, at the time of order I gladly would've spent an extra $100 to have a robot perfectly install a protector in a clean room. They could make even more $$ doing that.

I still screwed mine up (just slightly) ?‍♂

Out of dozens of phones and other gadgets, the only screen protector I ever did perfectly was a Hori for my Nintendo 3DS. Was an interesting design for something so simple, but it made it nearly impossible to misalign or get dust/bubbles stuck underneath.

The second best I've done was a Skinomi front and back protector for my current phone. The wet install was messy, but allowed for perfect placement. Had a million bubbles until it completely dried a few days later, but ended up with only 1 tiny speck of dust.

I'd rather go to a blind dentist than put on a screen protector. F'ing hate it every time! ?

Wish all protectors were designed to be installed like this..
