Scratched Hard Top

I’m the guy on the other side of that story feeling unsure what the appropriate thing to say is. We were taught to say sir and ma’am growing up. Now I don’t say ma’am because I’m told it makes ladies feel old. If I say Miss I get corrected that it’s Mrs. If I know a last name and not marital status I just say Ms followed by their last name to be safe. If not I avoid it all together.

Don’t get me started on the social pressure of knowing whether it’s ok or condescending to hold a door open for or offer your seat to a lady. I do it anyway but it doesn’t always seem well received. My wife says you know nobody does that anymore. I just shrug.

I hold the door for everyone, don’t give a shit if they like it or not. If someone has their hands full, I open it for them. I don’t make a big deal out of it, I don’t look to see if they are upset, don’t care. I open doors for my wife and always will. You can’t win with those that want to control your actions so don’t play the game.

It is definitely darker black and has a higher gloss to it. Not sure if that will translate to the spray version.

They may have a different "black" for color matched tops/fenders/bumpers for black jeeps and the black of non-color matched tops/fenders/bumpers.

But I say keep doing what you're doing. What I'm hearing from the kids is that they're going back to the traditional. And Lord knows there are still many of us who prefer gentlemen with old fashioned manners.

I did a repair on a black top and it’s real hard to match the texture and get the color of the repair to match. If I ever have to do it again I’ll just fill in the scratch’s with a paint pen and be one with it. Or paint the whole top to get an even color/texture.

It's still that simple. Show people respect and manners. You can't control other people's reactions and if they get super offended it's on them. Don't let their shitty attitudes make us less respectful, less gentlemanly, or just worse people in general.

Bingo, jeep 4 of 5, the lemon, had bad paint on hardtop from factory, dealers attemp to repair made the top three shades of shines. Satan, flat, gloss on one top.

I have seen mention of the French fries a few times and am pretty sure you are the expert. So what's the best fast food French fry?

Is it something you take off in poor weather or is it easily washable? That last part I have always wondered about crocheted items.
