I damaged all the side windows on my Jeep and the insurance company is telling me to take it to Safelite to get them replaced.

Anyone ever use Safelite for side window replacement?

The damage is hard to see in the pics, they’re all pitted from some idiot grinding metal six feet away from the Jeep. Lol

never used them for side window replacement but not sure you have a ton of options. They are the big boys in auto glass replacement so it is them so it is them, one of the other few national chains or local.

While I haven't used them for side window replacement I have use them for windshield and rear window on numerous occasions and never had a complaint.

Hopefully the idiots insurance is paying

Safelite replaced a side window in one of my Ram Trucks a few years ago. This guy obviously hadn't done one (Ram) before as he tried to get it in from the outside.... My calibrated eyeballs saw that wasn't going to happen. After I "suggested" he remove the inner door panel, he finally relented and it went right in. All in all it finally worked out.

I've used our local Safelite for rear windshield replacement as well as front windshield. They've always done well and use quality glass. If the glass can be made, they can replace it. It may take longer than normal since they'll need to dismantle the door to get to the window.

Agree with above - sounds like the guy that did this to your Jeep owes you for the new windows… ?‍♂

No experience w/Safelite.

What about damage to paint?
Strangely enough there’s no damage to the paint

Safelite will take care of it, but you need to make sure they remove the door panels.

If you aren't comfortable with Safelite, a quality collision repair shop should be able to handle it as well. To be specific, I'm talking about a full collision repair shop and not a simple "auto body" paint shop.
