Who has been running a 38 inch tire specifically hopefully an 11.5 inch one?
nitto ridge grappler 38 -11.5-17!

What about a 37 inch tire at 11.5 inch?
What are you guys think of these tires sizes?

Jeep = 2024 rubicon x with 456 factory gears on stock wheels with a metal cloak GC 2.5 inch lift so i am pretty sure that they will fit.

If I go to Ridge grappler in a 38 x 11.5 coming from KO 2 315 70 17 on a 24rubix with 456 gears will there be a lot of power loss ?

That seems to be a pretty close change to going 315 70 17 from 285 70 17 on my old rubicon 2019 with 410s

how would it compare to going with 37s on a gladiator with 410 gears
That was a bit under powered I sold it before I got around to a gear change

I have a 2024 Rubicon X 4-door with the 38" x 12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. It has the Recon package and came with the 4.56 gears and it has the 3.6 engine. Initially I thought the gears might be ok but I was very wrong. The Jeep now has 5.13's which are perfect for this engine/tire combination.

Jim, what would you think about 38s with 4.88s? I'm currently on 37s/4.88s, 3.6, 8sp auto.

4.88's will be under geared for the 3.6 liter and 38" Nitto's. It will have a hard time maintaining 8th gear on even the slightest grade and will constantly hunt. Even mine with the 5.13's will downshift on minor grades sometimes.

488's work great with 38 inch tires. Even with 13.5 wide mud grapplers.

I think having the lighter 2-door helps a lot. With all my mods on my Rubicon X 4-door and all the equipment I carry it weighs just shy of 6,000 lbs.

They may have to wait for that GM LT 5.3.

I have an 18 JL Sahara, Metalcloak 3" lift, 38" x 12.50 Nitto RG's. (28k miles) Swapped to Spicer 5.13 gears and its been pure poetry in motion as well.. So thankful with all of the above..
