Nope. Stock wheel is only 7.5 inches wide. You need a minimum wheel width of 8.5 inches to run those tires.

Here’s 39x13.50x17 BFG’s on the stock wheels.
The minimum safe wheel width for that tire is also 8.5 inches.

Yes, there are shops that will mount tires to smaller than recommended wheels but it isn’t the correct way to do things.

They look great thx for sharing, This is the look I'm trying to achieve. However, have you had any issues? Are you sure these are the stock rims and not the Quadratec Morphic wheel as jludave mentioned above. Also I see you flexing, do you wheel often and at what level?

I have concerns they come off the rim.

This topic gets beat to death repeatedly, according to the internet wider than 11.5” won’t work. Don’t tell my 37x12.50’s as they might suddenly fly off the rim after 15k miles, countless trails at 12-15 psi, and desert runs with speeds over 80 mph in the dirt. I’ve never had a problem in 20+ years, in fact I find the bead stays on at lower psi without burping air in the rocks like a wider non-beadlock will do. Some call running A narrower wheel a poor mans beadlock for that very reason. Maybe that’s why they are manufacturer recommendations not requirements?

Yup stock wheels 17x7.5”. I prefer a narrow wheel as it’s lighter, more protected from rock rash, and helps keep the bead seated while running a lower psi. I do wheel. I have a custom lift for a LCOG, and I had to trim as much as I could from the rear fender well pinch seam to be able to stuff them.

Thanks for sharing this info it's very helpful. I currently run 37x12.5x17 and no issues and we wheel every other week. I don't see a problem there even at 12 psi however, I'm a bit hesitant with 13.5.

Ok. I have a 3.5" lift and 1" coil spacers. Do you think it will still rub?

The 13.50 will be less likely to push off the bead as they are seated by outward pressure and have to be forced inward to come off in my opinion.

If it does to me on the trail, I'm gonna find you! Lol

It makes sense though, maybe because that's what I want to hear but in theory, it sounds good.

Thanks again

You are running wheel spacers are already right? i’m running inch and a half wheel spacers but I would suggest inch and three-quarter for anybody running the stock wheels. On the front I had to turn my steering stops out I think three turns. It still turns on a dime though. If you got 3 inches of rear bump stop you’ll probably be good except maybe the lower front and rear corner of the body? If you got 2 inch bump stops I would thoroughly check for clearance.
