Hi all, need some advice.

Am thinking to run 37s on my '23 JLUR RHD Export model. I already put in the highline fenders. Now on stock 255/75/17 rubber and stock wheels.

Watched a couple of youtube videos and it seems that lots of supporting mods are needed to run them safely. However I do see the AEV JL370 that run 37s and based on the parts list, doesnt seem that extensive., I would assume that with a brand like AEV they would have tested their components fully before running the 37s.

Question is this.

Other than putting in a 2.5in lift kit from AEV, aftermarket 8.5in wide wheels, TazerMini, regeared to 4.88, what other mods are needed to make sure that the 37s wont rub and wont cause trouble for the other components in the car going forward?

Just to add, mine is the 2.0T 4door.

thanks in advance for any help rendered.

Depends how you want to use it. If you are going to go offroad often, you will wear your balljoints, stock tie rod ends and drag link ends.

Many of us have run 37s on the stock rubicon axles for years without much issue, but you've got to be aware that you will increase the wear rate on the components mentioned above and be ready to replace them eventually or upgrade them now if you don't want to deal with the problems that come as they wear.

In addition to the above, you don't need the Tazer mini if you go with the AEV lift. It comes with their Procal to adjust for the tires. It also will come with a jack base for the additional height. The AEV wheels are designed to not rub. My 2020 JLUR had the AEV lift (loved it!). I screwed up with my wheel choice by getting 20". I now have an AEV Upfitted Jeep on order.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
I have ran 37s for approximately 99,000 miles on my JLUR. I have many friends that have more than 50,000 miles on their JLU Jeeps.

It is going to depend on how hard you wheel it, but these are the most common things that wear out faster and need to be replaced. Steering components. Expect to replace the track bar and then replace the track bar bushing as the miles pile on. Drag link and tie rods will wear faster. Expect ball joints to be shot around the 40,000 mile mark. Expect brakes pads to need to be replaced more often. Expect shock life to be reduced.

The tie rod and drag link seem to get replaced out of assumption they won't hold up a lot. Our 2019 has 65k miles on the stock steering components. 53k of those miles were on 37's or 38's. They were still tight and straight when we switched to our 2022. 100's of trails, thousands of off road miles, all without issue. The factory ball joints made it to about 40k miles. Lift, wheels, and tires. Everything else can get upgraded as it wears out.

You may have rubbing issue. Our rubicon are different from theirs. We don’t have the wider axle
