Ran across this thread tonight that I posted in before I got my Venator and thought I would add to it. I was a little concerned about fitment and quality after a few reviews I had read. I'm not exactly the most mechanically inclined guy but the install went great and everything fit well - including the fog light bezels
. The instructions were fair and I watched a couple of YouTube videos that were helpful. I'm very happy I bought this bumper - I think it looks awesome! First off, the bumper came in a heavy duty box and was wrapped well. I thought UPS would destroy a 100+ pound package but it arrived in great shape.
If you decide to go with the Venator, I have a couple of hints to make your install go better. The 4 little M4 button head bolts were junk and a couple of them stripped out easily. I bought 4 phillips head bolts that worked much better. You also might want to use a tap to clean out the threads of any of the welded/powder coated nuts. I don't know if they were plugged or just didn't align right. Some were trouble but none stripped out for me. If you are installing the overrider/grill guard, do yourself a favor and get a 17 mm stubby wrench. The long wrench will cause you nothing but aggravation.
