Rubicon owners: I bought a Rubicon.

Sahara and Moab owners: I didn't need all the things a Rubicon comes with and I'll never go off-road and I don't need lockers and I don't like the higher fenders and I don't want Rubicon: 4.10 gears, Front & Rear wide-track Dana 44, 4:1 tc, front & rear lockers, e-disco front sway bar. So I bought a Moab/Sahara.

Grabbing a Moab should be easy. Nobody wants them. This one has been sitting at my dealership since last winter, and it's now the end of summer.

Five years from now nobody will even remember that this trim level existed. I've seen one other on the road and it was a white one near Cincinnati.
Not surprised you’ve only seen one. They only made 4400.

I chose the MOAB because that’s what I wanted. I liked the look, hated the interior of the Rubicon. My MOAB has 4K miles on it.

All models at the end of day still say JEEP. Pick your own for your own reasons and be happy that you can afford or purchase a vehicle of your choice, not based on a bunch of opinions.

So what would a sport s JLU with added full Rubicon suspension, MOAB wheels and tires, leather take offs seats covers from the Sahara, DANA 44 LSD in the rear, MOAB rock rails, HT/Softtop, tow package, OEM takeoff LEDS be called? Spoabharacon?

Yeah, and you probably only have that wimpy 500+HP Viper, not the 640+...because, you know, you'll never use all those horses.

Wrong. theres only one real Jeep. That’s a Rubicon. The rest are just losers that wish they were Rubicons.

It’s an in betweener (Rubicon & Sahara) & hits the sweet spot for those that don’t really want/need a Rubicon & those that don’t really want/need a Sahara.

Personally, I went with the Rubicon for capability & resale....Do I use it for what it’s meant for? Well, I hopped a curb earlier today with ease sooo...

I also got a fully loaded ‘19 Rubicon (minus steel bumpers) in the color I wanted for about $3k more than the ‘18 MOAB that wasn’t the color I wanted (that another dealership was trying to push on me). I think most people would take that deal 9 times out of 10.
Kelley Blue Book would tell you that was a bad decision and you should have paid $3k less...but what does she know.

Moab for the win. Do you Rubicon guys want to play double or nothing?

Not hating on it & Bikini looks awesome...

Just replying to the guy trying to use KBB to somehow show a fully loaded MOAB holds/will hold value better than a fully loaded Rubicon.

I've been looking at the Rubicon as my next vehicle. But then I see the Moab version. Is a Moab a high optioned Rubicon? Or is it more than that
its a Sahara with all the Rubicon features... But the main thing is, it doesn't have Disconnect for sway bar... the Gearing & Different type. Transferase 4:1 Rock -Track / true Lock-front & rear Axles if I remember correctly
