Maybe pick another state instead? I drove through Moab 2 weeks ago and found that they have a big road construction project going on from the middle of the city extending beyond the north limits of the city. I was stuck in a 1 hour traffic jam getting into town. If you go to Moab to do trails and it takes you an hour to get out of town to your trail, then at the end of the day it takes you an hour to get back to your hotel or to get through town to your campsite, this would pretty much kill the day. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon, it is likely much worse on a weekend. I'm hoping they can get this worked out in the next 12 months and things can open back up for 2022.

I was just there. They are just about done with that construction. They are just finishing up the little stuff now.

I believe they had 4 lanes open on Monday to handle the mass exodus out of town. But they were back down to 2 lanes on Tuesday when I left.
